Sept 11, 2009

On Friday I picked up Jael and Emalea from school and took them and Maggie to the park here in Lubbock that does an "American Tribute" with one flag for each person lost on that day.

Jael took this picture

Emalea took this one. As she was getting ready the wind picked up and blew the flag over Jael's head. It made for a fun picture.

I love this one of Jael and Emalea walking through the flags.

The wind picked up just right for this picture. Most of the time I was standing on the wrong side for the direction the wind was blowing.

They love her.

So cute!

After the wind stopped it got a little warm so Emalea used my hair tie to put up her own hair. What a cute job she did.

This was after we put up that straggling lock of hair, but her smile was so cute witht the first pic. I had to include both since this one was her fav.

My baby girl looking so cute like she is ready to defend our country.

I was going to find her white hair bow before we went to the park, but Maggie and I took a nap and my alarm didn't go off. Fortunately Maggie woke me up in just enough time to get up and get ready to go pick up Jael and Emalea.

Loving on their cousin again

We went to something like that last year here in AZ. It really makes you think. Those flags also make for some great pics.

Cute pictures. We saw all of the flags but not until evening and didn't think about taking the kids there to see them.
