Pictures

I decided to take the necked baby pictures before she gets too much older
I got 3 pictures before she rolled over.I figured I would try the hand picture again since it turned out so cute when Jael or Emalea took it before.I just thought this one was so adorableHer cute little foot with those long toes. Once again something she did not get from me. She was looking at her hand, but when I put up the camera she looked at me.This is an out fit that Paula made for her. So cute. We love purple.Emalea enjoying her time holding Maggie.Jael was holding her and was able to put her to sleep.

I LOVE this picture of Andrea, Maggie and Eleanor!
Here is a zoomed out version of the one above so you can see Andrea and Maggie's faces. I can't wait to see Eleanor's face. :)

pictures to go with the "Maggie just rolled over" post

This is what Maggie looked like just before she rolled over which was the hint to grab my camera and move the car seat. Hanging out with Ming Ming

She loves her Mommy.

I LOVE this happy face. She has been smiling so much since last Friday!
This was Monday(the day she got her shots) and she was still happy some of the time.

This is what she was doing the rest of the time on Monday. She still slept a lot yesterday and today.

Maggie just rolled over!

I put Maggie down for her tummy time and she rolled onto her side and started moving her hips like she was about to roll over so I grabbed my camera. Luckily I had the camera out and was taking pictures of her just a few minuites before. Enjoy the video!!!

Maggie is 2 months old!

Last week was a good week. Monday night we took our puppies in for a vet visit. When we were done the Vet said that she had a baby scale, so Maggie got weighed too. She was 11lbs 3oz. Then the Vet got to hold and cuddle with Maggie.

The next day we decided to keep one of the puppies. This is Bella hanging out with Mike.

I worked again this Thursday and Friday. Mike and Maggie did well with out me. Maggie still wakes up when I get home. I guess she can just smell me and has missed me. :)

Saturday was a busy busy day. Sandy came over and brought breakfast then we went to Dion's so Maggie could meet some friends of mine who were in town, Cassandra and Aslinn.

Then Mike, Maggie and I went to my friends Amy & Andy's wedding. So now Maggie has attended her first wedding. Here are Amy and Andy. When I get the pic of Amy holding Maggie I'll try to remember to post it.

After the wedding we headed to Carlsbad for the rest of the weekend. On the trip we started reading Twilight as a family. Mike and I have already read all the books, but thought it would be fun to read it together and we develop a tradition of reading "big books" with Maggie too.

Maggie's Aunt Marieta was in Carlsbad from PA so we took the opportunity to see her again. I just realized we didn't get a picture of her with Maggie. What a bummer. I'm not sure when we will see her again. She lives so far away. I did manage to get a picture of Grandma holding Maggie and you can see Mike in the back ground and all of them are sleeping. I took the picture with my phone so I wouldn't wake them up. So the picture isn't as high quality as some of the others, but I love it!

Here is another picture at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Daddy and Maggie bonding.

Today Maggie had her 2 month check up. She is doing well. She weighs 11lbs 6oz and 21.75 inches that puts her at the 65th percentile for weight and 30th percentile for height. She also got 2 shots in each leg. The first one she looked at me like "what was that?!?" the second one she started fussing a little, then with the 3rd and 4th ones she wasn't going to put up with it any more. I gave her some tylenol and now she is sleeping soundly. I hope that she doesn't have a rough day.

This picture was after one of her baths last week. I'm not sure what day, but just thought it was a cute pic...and one of her cute outfits she wore last week that Aunt Sandy gave her

Work/trip/Easter

Friday was my first day to leave my full time mommy job to do my part time interpreting job. I was really dreading it.

First though Maggie and I spent the morning with Jael and Emalea. They had the day off since it was Good Friday. Angie was off on her honeymoon and Sandy was working that morning and took over in the afternoon. The girls are so cute with Maggie. They love her so much. At one point Emalea waved at Maggie and she waved back. Emalea and I were so shocked we looked at eachother and Emalea tried again. Once again Maggie waved back. Jael gave it a try and Maggie waved again! I am such a proud mommy!

Later we were talking about me going to work that night and Emalea asked me who was going to take care of Maggie while I was working. I told her that Mike was going to. She made a face like "really? Uncle Mike??? Are you serious????" then said "I think we can keep her." So cute. I assured her that Maggie would be fine with her daddy.

Going to work that night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I only cried a little while I was leaving. Once I got to work I was busy most of the time and Mike sent me some great pictures of her to assure me she was fine.

The first one said "Hi Mommy"

The second one speaks for it's self.
What a good husband he is to make me feel better while I'm at work. :)
That night however didn't go so well. As soon as I got home she woke up and needed me the rest of the night. She was VERY hungry(I fed her before I left and Mike gave her 5 oz in the 5 hours I was gone and I fed her again when I came home and every few hours after that). She was also congested and had gas. So it was hard to get her comforted. I got a total of 3 hours of sleep that night.

Saturday we went on Maggie's first out of town trip. We took one of our puppies to Melissa and Heath.

We were supposed to watch the Joe and Aron's soccer games that day, but when Mike got up that morning he took over taking care of maggie and let me sleep about 3 hours before we left. So we missed the games. We hope to get back to see them play soon. We went to Melissa's parents house for Easter lunch with her family. Then the kids had an egg hunt. It was so much fun. Melissa and Iraland picked out a Ming Ming doll for Maggie

On our way home we went through a huge dust storm! It was crazy!! The pic doesn't really do the storm justice, but I was just praying that not much of the dirt would get in the car and make Maggie's allergies worse.

The next day was Maggie's first Easter!!! Here she is is her little dress

and with her basketHere are some of her cousins holding her

Jael

Emalea

Jael and Emalea's new brother Jackson (who is adorable by the way)

and some other pictures that I just think are too cute I had to add them...

When I get pics of Maggie with her Brown cousins I'll add them too.

time flies

So time really flies when you have a new baby in the house. I've been trying to keep everyone updated on Maggie and do facebook. I just haven't done my blog in a while. So here are some pictures and info.

I had a Doctor's appointment Feb. 18th and had been sick the few days before that. When I went in my blood pressure was high and had signs of preeclampsia so the Dr. sent me to the hospital right away. I was calm and ok with this. When I called Mike he freaked out. At the hospital the next morning they broke my water and started pitocin to induce my labor. I labored all day, that night they decided I just wasn't progressing like I should so they needed to take her. So I had a C-section. I had watched so many labor and delivery stories that again I was really calm and not worried and I had a blessing to help me through. Magdalena Mae was born Feb. 19, 2009 at 6:28pm. She was 7lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. We think she will probably keep her blue eyes. Her hair we aren't too sure on. Some times it looks light brown other times it looks strawberry red. Who knows, it could still all fall out and come in a totally different color. Mike and I were both very blond when we were little.

When they were cleaning Maggie and doing the measurements she was crying, of course, so I decided to talk to her. Right away she calmed down and listened to me. I hope that continues for the rest of her life :) She is a really good baby.

Recovery went really well. I felt so good that I went home a day early. I think part of it has to do with how bad I felt while I was pregnant the other part has to go to that blessing I got.

This was when we were getting ready to go home.

At home all bundled up.

At home hanging out with Dad.

This was her St. Patrick's day dress. We didn't know it, but she was matching her friend Iraland.

Jael or Emalea took this picture. I thought it was cute and showed how little she still is.
We had puppies born the week after Maggie was born. This shows how big they are already. I'm glad she doesn't grow as fast as they do. If you know anyone who wants full blood American Bulldogs we have some for sale and they will be ready April 11th.

It's a purple day. We even had a purple blanket when we went out on the town.
Of course mommy has to take a picture of her wearing an "I love mommy" onesie.

Her cousin Kaden is 6 months older than her and had the same onesie. So cute!

Later that day Daddy got tired after changing her diaper and she watched as he snored.
Her blessing was Sunday March 29th.

Melissa and Heath O'Brien and family came from Midland.

Raylene, Jim and Jackson Nuffer came too.

The Brown family.

The Griffin family

Andrea got the dress for Eleanor's blessing, but let us use it first.
